Residents of the Kewanee area are invited to a watch party for U.S. Senate candidate forums hosted by the League of Women Voters on February 26th at the Kewanee Public Library. Doors open at 6:45 PM, with refreshments available and elevator access at the building’s rear. Starting at 7 PM, two prerecorded one-hour forums will be streamed—one for Republican and one for Democratic contenders—featuring the top three candidates from each party based on fundraising, campaign activity, and meeting the criteria. Submissions for candidate questions are open online through February 16th and specify Republican, Democrat, or both. Those unable to attend can tune in via Peoria’s WTVP or WCBU-FM 89.9. The recording will also be available to watch at the League of Women Voters of the Greater Peoria Area YouTube channel after the live stream.
“LWV and WTVP reserve the right to re-word or modify any questions submitted and have final decision-making authority to select the questions asked during the forum.”
