Freedom House has welcomed Dr. Crystal Strode to its Board of Directors. Known for her focus on patient-centered care, Dr. Strode is praised by COO Chloe Lund for her dedication to health and community service. Dr. Strode founded Vibrant Health in Cambridge in 2019 and expanded it to Geneseo in 2024, emphasizing accessible healthcare. She’s also recognized for her work on the Henry County Board and Mental Health Board. Dr. Strode expressed her commitment to helping people in tough times, stating she’s honored to support Freedom House’s mission of safety, advocacy, and hope for those in need.

Freedom House continues its vital mission to support victims of domestic and sexual violence across Bureau, Henry, Marshall, Putnam, and Stark counties. Based in Princeton, with offices in several nearby towns, their team of trained professionals offers free, confidential services that include a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, and advocacy for both medical and legal needs. Therapy and counseling are available to adults and children alike. Over the last year, more than 800 victims and their families received assistance.
