Henry and Stark County Health Departments Celebrate International Women’s Day and Highlight Health Services

Sunday, March 8, 2026, is set aside as International Women’s Day, and the Henry and Stark County Health Departments, along with First Choice Healthcare, are spotlighting women’s achievements and encouraging women to prioritize their health. RaeAnn Tucker, Director of Health Promotion, emphasizes the variety of services available at First Choice Healthcare Clinics in Kewanee and Toulon, including annual exams, pap smears, pregnancy tests, contraceptive counseling, breast exams, blood profiles, and immunizations. Services are accessible through Medicaid, most insurances, and some grants.

RaeAnn Tucker, Health Department Director of Health Promotion, states, “The goal of Women’s Day is to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.  The Health Department and First Choice Healthcare also want to use this special day to empower women to make their health a priority.”
