Kewanee High School opened its doors to education leaders today as the Blackhawk Division of the Illinois Association of School Administrators (IASA) held its regional meeting in the school’s brand-new lecture and theater classroom, an innovative space featuring state-of-the-art technology and flexible seating. Superintendents from across the area explored the district’s latest high-tech learning space, discussing professional development, legislative updates, and upcoming regional events. Impressed by the classroom’s technology and flexible design, attendees also enjoyed a meal prepared by Mr. and Mrs. Damron and the Kewanee cafeteria team. Full occupancy approval for the space is expected soon, marking a milestone in the district’s push for innovative and collaborative learning environments.

“We are excited about the possibilities this space creates for our students, staff, and community,” said Superintendent Rebecca Baney. “Today’s meeting demonstrated how this room can support learning, presentations, performances, and gatherings. I look forward to welcoming our students and community members into the space very soon.”
