March 2, 2026, through March 8, 2026

March 2
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 6 th Ave for a complaint involving a loose dog that was struck by a vehicle. The dog had minor injuries and was transported home and returned to it’s owners.
While patrolling, officer noticed a freight train had stopped and was blocking all Galva crossings. The train began to move after about 10 minutes, which allowed traffic to resume.
Officer was dispatched to city hall to speak to a subject about an ordinance warning letter they had received.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to follow up on a theft complaint previously reported.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a civil standby during a child visitation.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Center Ave, Lacey Hall, 37, Altona, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance violation. She was released with a required court date.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Exchange Street, Jennifer Willey, 43, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance violation. She was released with a required court date.

March 3
While patrolling, officer checked on a suspicious vehicle parked behind a building in the 200 block of South Exchange Street. The subject had permission to be there.
While patrolling, officer noticed a freight train had stopped and was blocking all Galva crossings. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.
Officer assisted IL DCFS with information about a local family.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to speak about obtaining an order of protection.
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town to watch for a reckless driver following several complaints. Officer located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was issued a written warning for following too closely.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 2 nd Ave for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.

March 4
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to the 500 block of SE Industrial Ave for a truck possibly on fire. Upon arrival, the truck had been unloaded, but there was a small fire on the ground. The fire department was able to extinguish it.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a vehicle pursuit that came towards the Galva area a couple times. The subject ultimately wrecked and was taken into custody NW of Galva by Henry Co.
Officer assisted the ambulance with medical calls on SW 4 th Street and SE 1 st Street.

March 5
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of North Exchange Street for a complaint involving disorderly conduct / social media threats.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of West Division Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was a pocket dial.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of Main Street, Robin Atkinson, 60, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 4 th Street for a theft complaint.
Officer was notified about a dog bite complaint by hospital staff. The incident actually occurred in rural Galva, so the information was relayed to Henry Co.

March 6
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to take a complaint involving identity theft.
Officer was dispatched to city hall to speak to a resident about an ordinance violation notice they had received.
Officer was dispatched to Wiley Park for a disturbance involving a group of juveniles.
Officer was dispatched to a physical disturbance in the 700 block of NW 1 st Ave. The victim declined to prosecute.
Officer assisted a motorist in the 100 block of Morgan Road with a flat tire.

March 7
Officer went to the 500 block of SW 3 rd Street to serve a resident a written banning notice after a theft complaint a few days ago.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 4 th Ave for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded and later returned to it’s owner.
Officer, along with the ambulance, were dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street for an intoxicated patient. The subject refused transport.

March 8
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street to assist a motorist that apparently had a broken axle.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 6 th Ave for a loose dog complaint. Officer was not able to locate it.

Kenneth Bryant, 75, Galesburg, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2 nd Street.
