Families in the Kewanee area are invited to a free car seat safety check taking place Saturday, April 11th, 2026, at the City Hall parking lot on East 3rd Street between 1 and 3 PM. Certified technicians will be on hand to inspect car seats, answer questions, and ensure each seat is correctly installed. Parents are encouraged to bring their child, the car seat, and the user manual if available. No appointment is necessary, and the process takes about 30 minutes per seat. Free Roth ID tags will be handed out while supplies last, supporting ongoing child safety initiatives in the community.
