Bishop Hill Book Fair Brings Local Authors and Literary Fun for All Ages April 11, 2026

A celebration of literature arrives in Bishop Hill on April 11th, as the sixth annual Bishop Hill Book Fair welcomes readers, writers, and book enthusiasts alike. Held at the Bishop Hill Creative Commons from 11 AM to 4 PM, the event gathers 19 local authors spanning genres from poetry and memoir to horror and children’s lit. Guests are invited to meet authors, collect signed copies, and engage in lively discussions. The fair encourages young writers and provides a platform for teachers to connect with creative resources for their classrooms. Admission is free, with books available for purchase, and some of the proceeds support Cultural Crossroads Connections.

A diverse lineup of 20 local authors is set to gather for an upcoming book fair, offering something for readers of every age and interest. Genres represented will range from children’s literature and poetry to history, thrillers, and memoirs. Attendees will have the chance to meet the writers, get books signed, and hear firsthand about their creative processes. The event welcomes aspiring authors, teachers, and young readers, creating opportunities for inspiration and learning.
