March 16, 2026, through March 22, 2026

March 16
While patrolling, officer located a motorist stuck in the roadway near the intersection of NW 2 nd Ave and Main Street. Officer was able to assist in getting the vehicle moving again.
Officer assisted the ambulance with a medical emergency on NW 7 th Ave.
Officer was dispatched to a vehicle in the ditch complaint on the east edge of town. The vehicle was checked and marked. It was removed by a tow truck later in the day.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of West Division Street to assist a motorist stuck in the roadway. Officer was not strong enough to push vehicle. Tarletons wrecker was able to pull it out.
Officer was dispatched to the Galva-Atkinson blacktop north of town to check on a vehicle stuck in the ditch. Officer was able to transport subjects to local motel for lodging.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7 th Ave for several 9-1-1 open line complaints. Upon arrival, officer determined it was a theft complaint amongst family members.

March 17
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 2 nd Street for a wild animal complaint involving a possum in the roadway. The complainant was concerned that a vehicle may strike it. A neighbor assisted the officer with loading it into the car, where it was transported to rural Galva and released.
Officer was dispatched to a verbal disturbance in the 400 block of North Center Ave. The complainant went to a family member’s house to stay for awhile.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4 th Street for a medical pendant activation. Officer located a subject suffering from a panic attack. Stark Co Medic was contacted for evaluation.

March 18
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 2 nd Street for a physical domestic disturbance between mother and daughter.
While patrolling, officer located a vehicle in the 400 block of South Center Ave with no taillights. The subject was able to use their hazard lights to remove the vehicle from the flow of traffic.

March 19
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a loud noise complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 2 nd Street for a disabled vehicle blocking the roadway.
Officer directed traffic until a tow truck was able to remove it.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 7 th Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 6 th Street for a dog bite to a human complaint. As the result, Karissa Wilson, 37, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for allowing a dog to run at large.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 4 th Street to assist a citizen.

March 20
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street for a two vehicle accident with damage only.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of South Exchange Street for a trash dumping complaint.
Officer was dispatched to Wiley Park in reference to a harassment complaint involving a group of juveniles yelling at other youth.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 2 nd Street for a loose dog complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 1 st Ave for a wild animal complaint involving a sick skunk. The Galva city trapper set several live traps to try to capture it.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a suspicious person complaint.

March 21
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with a burglary complaint west of Galva.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of North Center Ave for a complaint involving a subject being injured from falling off an electric (E-bike) bicycle. Stark Co Medic also responded.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SW 2 nd Ave for a loose dog complaint. Officer assisted the animal owners with capturing the dog.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street for a child custody dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Swank Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded and later returned to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Commercial Street for a traffic complaint. An unoccupied vehicle was located, but the driver wasn’t found until later in the evening.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 2 nd Ave for a civil property dispute.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to file a report involving theft and internet scam after the complaint realized they were missing funds from a bank account.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 3 rd Street for a loud noise complaint. Officer did not locate anyone making noise.

March 22
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street to recover a debit card that had been left at the business.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of North Center Ave, Amber Stocker, 39, Peoria Heights, was issued a citation for having an expired drivers license (more than 1 year). She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town to watch for a reckless driver that was reportedly heading towards Galva. The suspect vehicle was located, however, no traffic violations were noted to justify a traffic stop.
Officer was requested by Kewanee PD to watch for a subject that had damaged property in their city before possibly coming towards Galva. The subject was not located.
