The Kewanee music community is gearing up for a packed schedule, with the Geneseo Concert Band Festival set for Saturday, April 11th. Kewanee High School’s Wind Ensemble performs at 9:30 AM, followed by Central Junior High at 3 PM. Kewanee High School’s Music Booster group is gearing up for its next meeting this Thursday, April 9th, at 5:15 PM in the KHS library. The agenda includes finalizing preparations for the IHSA State Music Organizational Sweepstakes, which KHS will be hosting later this month. Organizers are seeking volunteers to assist with decorations around town and during the event itself, scheduled for Friday, April 17th, and Saturday, April 18th. Those willing to help with decorating, concessions, or hall monitoring but unable to attend the meeting are encouraged to reach out with their availability.
