A unique fundraising event is coming to Kewanee, as Triple Crown Fundraising sets up a night of live mouse racing at the Kewanee Elks Lodge on April 10th. All proceeds from the event will support six-year-old Wrenly Colomer and her family as they manage medical expenses. The fun begins Friday at 7 PM. Organizers have teamed up with Triple Crown Fundraising, bringing the unique thrill of live mouse racing—where participants choose a mouse, place a bet, and stand a chance to double their money if their chosen racer wins. The evening features six heats and a championship race, plus games and a live auction with donated items. In addition, the Kewanee Police Department FOP Lodge #233 is raffling a Springfield Armory Echelon, with tickets available for $20 from any officer or at the door.
Community members are invited to participate in the races, cheer on their favorite contenders, and rally together for a cause close to home. Every dollar raised at the event will be directed to the Colomer family, offering vital assistance during a challenging time. Organizers encourage families and friends to turn out for an evening of fun and compassion, proving once again the strength of community support.
