Black Hawk College Paramedic Program Earns Continuing Accreditation from The CAAHEP

Black Hawk College’s Emergency Medical Services Professions – Paramedic program has secured Continuing Accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, effective through 2026. This status was granted after a thorough review by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions. The next program evaluation is set for 2031. Accreditation ensures that the college maintains high-quality standards in training future paramedics. Students benefit from a curriculum combining classroom learning with practical clinical experience, giving them a solid foundation for certification and success in emergency medical services careers.

“Maintaining CAAHEP accreditation reflects our continued commitment to delivering high-quality EMS education and upholding the standards expected of our profession,” said Tyler M. Hynes, AAS, NRP and EMS program director.

“This recognition reinforces the strength of our faculty, clinical partnerships and the dedication of our students,” Hynes said.
