Kewanee High School’s National Honor Society welcomed 47 new members at its annual banquet held on April 8th. A dinner provided by the school’s food service set the stage, followed by keynote speaker Dr. Jon DeBord. Dr. DeBord emphasized the importance of service, leadership, character, and scholarship—the four pillars of society—and encouraged lifelong learning. Society officers, including Taylor VanWinkle, Katy Carton, Kalleigh Gale, Anna Chabanenko, and Kendyl DeBlieck, led the program. Group photos of new and returning members were taken, commemorating the occasion. The night concluded with a strong sense of achievement as both students and faculty celebrated those inducted into this prestigious organization.
