The Henry & Stark County Health Departments, along with First Choice Healthcare clinics in Kewanee and Toulon, have announced the observance of Every Kid Healthy Week from April 20 to 27, 2026. This annual event aims to celebrate and promote progress in child and family health within the community. During this week, local organizations join together to highlight initiatives that improve wellness for kids, including nutrition, fitness, and mental health. Residents are reminded of the range of services offered, from school exams and immunizations to behavioral health support, at both clinics.

RaeAnn Tucker, Director of Health Promotion notes, “This week also gives our staff at the Henry and Stark County Health Departments and our First Choice Healthcare clinics a chance to highlight how we are continually working with local school districts and other social service agencies to highlight the services available local to kids and families that aim to improve their nutritional, physical and mental health.”

First Choice Healthcare clinics are expanding access to comprehensive health services across Henry and Stark Counties. Residents now have the convenience of walk-in and sick visits, family planning, WIC food support, school and sports exams, chronic disease care, STD services, physicals, TB and lead screenings, and immunizations—all under one roof. Importantly, these clinics have introduced behavioral and mental health services, partnering with local schools and serving entire families. This integrated care approach marks a significant step for the region. For appointments, contact the Kewanee clinic at 309-852-5272 or Toulon at 309-852-3115.
