Kewanee Teachers Honored with Statewide Awards for Excellence and Service

Two teachers from Kewanee Community Unit School District #229 have earned top honors from the Illinois State Board of Education. Amy Miller received the Award of Excellence, highlighting her exceptional commitment to equity and student achievement within the district. Alicia Ralston was honored with the Award of Meritorious Service for her accomplishments in supporting student growth and strengthening school culture. The recognition took place during the ISBE Teacher of the Year and Those Who Excel banquet in Bloomington. Superintendent Rebecca Baney praised the educators’ dedication, noting their positive impact on students and the community. These awards celebrate educator excellence statewide.
