Makayla Craig has been elected student trustee at Black Hawk College, bringing a wealth of experience from both the Quad Cities and East campuses. An art teacher education major, Craig is also well-acquainted with rural issues, having graduated co-valedictorian from Galva High School. She is currently pursuing the prestigious American FFA Degree and is recognized for her commitment to community, especially through the Galva Arts Council. Makayla Craig will serve as the student trustee until April 2027.
Active in the Student Government Association and involved in organizations such as Phi Theta Kappa and TRIO, Craig has helped plan campus events and advocates fiercely for student voices. Her leadership blends empathy, initiative, and dedication to serving a diverse campus community.
