Sheriff Booker, deputies and Rock Falls Officers are gearing up for the 24th annual “Cop on a Rooftop” fundraiser at Dunkin’ on 1st Avenue. The event takes place Friday, May 15th, starting at 5 a.m. and running until noon. Officers and volunteers will be stationed on the rooftop, encouraging community members to stop by, make donations, and support Special Olympics Illinois through the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
Last year, the collaborative effort raised thousands of dollars. For those unable to attend in person, contributions are welcome online via Venmo or the official Special Olympics fundraising pages ahead of the event.
