Four juveniles were injured in a single-vehicle crash in rural Kewanee on Monday

A single vehicle accident sent four juveniles to the hospital Monday evening in the 6000 block of E. 2480th Street, rural Kewanee. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident around 7:40 PM. According to the release, there were four juveniles in the vehicle at the time of the accident. All four occupants were transported to the hospital, with one juvenile transported by medical helicopter for further treatment. Authorities have cited the driver for improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Illinois State Police crash reconstruction unit, continues to investigate the incident. At this time, no additional details are being released as the investigation remains ongoing.
