Police searching for man wanted for Aggravated Battery and Attempted Murder in Tazewell County

Uodate: Richerson was captured this morning by Peoria County Sheriff’s Office Deputies. He will be transferred to the custody of Tazewell County.

Authorities in Peoria are continuing their search for Christopher R. Richerson, a 52-year-old man wanted for Aggravated Battery and Attempted Murder in Tazewell County. Law enforcement discovered his vehicle abandoned in the 4400 block of North Carola Court in Peoria, sparking an extensive search. Officers, a K-9 unit, and police drone scoured the surrounding wooded area, but Richerson remains at large. The public is warned not to approach him, as he is considered armed and dangerous, according to the Peoria Police Department Facebook post.
