Victoria Anderson, PTA, is the 2026 Sunflower Award recipient

OSF HealthCare Saint Clare Medical Center has announced Victoria Anderson, PTA, as the 2026 Sunflower Award recipient. Honored for her exceptional skill, compassion, and encouragement in physical therapy, Victoria’s support proved invaluable to patients facing difficult recoveries. The Sunflower Award celebrates non-nursing staff who deliver outstanding service, with nominations accepted from patients, families, and colleagues. Victoria receives a special award pin, a certificate, a sculpture, a tote bag, sunflowers, and a year-long banner hung in her department. Community members can nominate OSF HealthCare employees who go above and beyond at osfgratefulpatient.org.

“Her knowledge and bedside manner shine through every session,” the nominator wrote. “She proved that compassionate, patient‑centered care still exists. Victoria is the standard every health care worker should uphold to provide patients with the best of care.”

“Outstanding nursing care is recognized through the DAISY Award, but there are Mission Partners, like Victoria, who are not nurses, providing extraordinary care. It’s awesome to be able to recognize her with the Sunflower Award, she is truly deserving of the honor,” said Scott Hartman, vice president of Operations and Special Projects at OSF Saint Clare.

A special committee reviews these stories and selects a recipient whose impact stands out. Victoria’s dedication highlights the profound influence healthcare workers can have by connecting personally with those in their care, offering not just treatment—but hope and comfort when it’s needed most.
