Memorial Day Service in Kewanee on May 25, 2026, at 10 AM at Veterans Park
Kewanee will honor its fallen heroes with a Memorial Day Service, organized by the Kewanee Veterans Council, on May 25 at 10:00 AM in Veterans Park. The event, hosted by Jerry Thompson, features the Kewanee High School Band under Alex Binek, along with addresses from Mayor Gary Moore and guest speaker Adam Cernovich. Veterans and dignitaries will be introduced, and the ceremony will include a POW-MIA service, the laying of wreaths, and a tribute to those lost in service. In case of rain, the event will be moved to the Flemish American Club on North Burr Boulevard.
