OSF HealthCare Saint Luke Medical Center Named Top 100 Critical Access Hospital for Excellence in Rural Care

OSF HealthCare Saint Luke Medical Center has earned national recognition as a “Top 100 Critical Access Hospital to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review. This distinction highlights that rural hospitals excel in access to specialty care, innovation, and community health. As a 25-bed facility, OSF Saint Luke provides critical services such as emergency care, visiting specialists, and rehabilitation—reducing the need for residents to travel long distances for medical treatment. The hospital recently gained five-star ratings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the National Rural Rating System. Community initiatives include a Blessing Box, student career programs, and an innovation hub supporting local health care solutions.

“This recognition reflects the dedication of our Mission Partners who serve our community with the greatest care and love every day,” said Zach Yoder, president of OSF Saint Luke. “Being named among Becker’s Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals to Know affirms our commitment to expanding access to high-quality care locally and continually finding new ways to support the health and well-being of our community.”
