Chris Snoddy Named Vice President for Student Services at Black Hawk College after a nationwide search
Chris M. Snoddy has been named vice president for student services at Black Hawk College, starting July 1, 2026. College President Dr. Jeremy Thomas praised Snoddy’s understanding of the impact community colleges have on individuals and communities, emphasizing the strength of Black Hawk’s existing Student Services team. Snoddy expressed gratitude for the appointment and excitement to collaborate in guiding students toward academic and professional success. Both leaders highlighted the college’s commitment to supporting meaningful educational pathways and fostering organizational growth.
“Mr. Snoddy understands the important role community colleges play in transforming lives and strengthening communities,” said Dr. Jeremy Thomas, Black Hawk College president.
“Great people build great organizations, and Black Hawk College already has an outstanding Student Services team. Mr. Snoddy is the type of leader who can help that team continue to grow and thrive,” Dr. Thomas said.
“I am honored to be selected as the next vice president for student services at Black Hawk College,” Snoddy said.
“I am overjoyed for the opportunity to partner with faculty, staff and students in continuing the work of creating educational pathways and life-changing experiences for students to achieve their academic and professional goals,” he said.
Oklahoma City Community College’s associate vice president for student affairs and student success, Chris Snoddy, continues to make a significant impact on campus life. With a background in Intercultural Communication, African/African American Studies, and Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, Snoddy has led student-facing departments at OCCC since 2019. His work focuses on improving student access, persistence, and completion while utilizing data-driven strategies to drive success initiatives. Previously, Mr. Snoddy served in key leadership roles at the University of Central Oklahoma, and is recognized for his dedication to inclusive campus environments and rigorous compliance with Title IX and ADA regulations.
