Authorities still seek Answers to the shooting death of a Peoria man two years later

Authorities are renewing calls for information regarding the fatal shooting of Damon Foulks. More than two years have passed since Foulks was found shot and killed on West Division Street, and the case remains unsolved. Investigators urge anyone with even the smallest detail to come forward, as any information could help bring answers to Foulks’ family and advance the investigation. The Kewanee Police Department said, “Even the smallest detail may assist investigators as they continue working to bring answers to this case.” Those who may know something are encouraged to contact the Illinois State Police at 309-752-4915, extension 4937, or email [email protected]. Damon E. Foulks, a 50-year-old man from Peoria, was found deceased in the 800 block of West Division on June 8th after Kewanee Police responded to a welfare check just after 10 PM. An autopsy determined his death was a homicide. The Henry Mercer County Investigative Task Force assisted with the investigation.
