First Responder Day and Family Fun Night at the Henry County Fair on June 17th

Wednesday, June 17th, is First Responder Day at the Henry County Fair, with free admission for first responders showing ID. The day starts at 8 with the Junior Open Swine Show, followed by the Pee Wee Swine Show. Noon brings the 4-H Bucket Calf Show and the Barn Beer Garden opening until 11 PM. The Exhibitor’s Hall opens at 1 PM, the Merchant’s Building at 2 PM, and harness racing features free grandstand admission all day. The lineup promises laughter and lively competition, with events like the egg toss, sack races, chicken scramble, pig scramble, and lawn mower barrel races. Back seat driver competitions will challenge families in a test of teamwork and skill. Creativity is also in the spotlight, as prizes await those sporting the best patriotic costumes. Residents are encouraged to gather friends and family for an evening filled with classic fair fun and community spirit. Carnival rides run until 10, with all rides costing just two tickets.
