STEAM opportunities at OSF Healthcare

OSF HealthCare is offering hands-on STEAM learning opportunities for students interested in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Samantha Rux of OSF Saint Luke Medical Center says families can explore take-home labs, including a squid dissection kit, virtual shark lessons, activity books, and augmented-reality tools featuring 3D models of organs such as the heart, brain, and lungs. One featured kit lets students dissect a squid while learning about ocean life. OSF also offers virtual labs, mobile learning tools, and visits from innovation team members for schools and events. Recent STEAM camps served students in several Illinois communities, with possible future programs in Kewanee. More information is available at steam.osfhealthcare.org.
