Ryleigh Swanson Awarded the Jean German Academic Scholarship by Abilities Plus

Abilities Plus is celebrating local student Ryleigh Swanson, this year’s recipient of the $1,000 Jean German Academic Scholarship. Ryleigh visited the Abilities Plus office, where Kim Walker, executive director of Abilities Plus, presented her with the scholarship check and recognized her hard work, dedication, and commitment to continuing her education. Abilities Plus said, “We are incredibly proud of her hard work and dedication, and we’re excited to support her as she continues her educational journey. Wishing you continued success, Ryleigh!”

The scholarship supports area students pursuing higher education in the human services field, especially those planning careers working with people with disabilities. Named in honor of agency founder and longtime supporter Jean German, the award reflects Abilities Plus’ mission to encourage service, compassion, and opportunity.
