A 19-year-old Adair resident, Harley S. Brown, has been arrested after a multi-agency investigation involving the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. The investigation began on October 12, 2025, after authorities received a complaint of an adult traveling to LaSalle County to meet a minor for sexual purposes. Following a detailed investigation involving the State’s Attorney’s Office, a warrant was issued for his arrest on January 27, 2026, on three counts: Traveling To Meet A Child, Solicitation To Meet A Child, and Criminal Sexual Abuse. Brown was taken into custody at his residence by the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. The investigation remains ongoing.
