Valley View Country Club hosts a trivia night on March 21 at 6 PM; updates are available on their Facebook page. The annual village Easter egg hunt is scheduled for March 28 at College Square Park, starting at 2 PM for the youngest participants. In the event of poor weather, a drive-up egg hunt is planned. Cambridge schools’ spring break runs from March 30th to April 6th. Save the date for the community yard sales on May 8th and 9th and the community cleanup on May 15th.

Music fans and trivia buffs are invited to join J & J Entertainment for a lively Music Trivia Night on March 21st, supporting the Valley View Junior Golf Program. Registration opens at 5 PM, with the competition kicking off at 6. Teams of up to eight can compete for $120 per table, which includes both mulligans and doublers in the entry fee. All proceeds benefit a free youth golf clinic and tournament, impacting over 100 local children each year. Guests are encouraged to bring snacks, while all beverages must be purchased on-site. Reserve your spot or donate raffle items by contacting Denis at 309-269-8973 or [email protected].

Families in the Village of Cambridge can mark their calendars for March 28, as College Square Park prepares for a lively Easter egg hunt. Organizers have arranged an array of activities, ensuring that children and adults alike will find plenty to enjoy. In addition to the traditional egg hunt, participants can win special prizes and join games tailored to various age groups. Community volunteers are helping ensure this annual event is both festive and safe. With colorful eggs hidden throughout the park, excitement is already building among residents for a memorable spring celebration.

Residents are preparing for a community-wide garage sale on Friday, May 8th, and Saturday, May 9th. Neighbors are encouraged to participate, turning driveways and yards into treasure-hunting spots filled with unique bargains. Organizers hope the event fosters camaraderie and helps families declutter. The following Friday, May 15th, marks Community Cleanup Day. Everyone is invited to help spruce up public spaces and dispose of unwanted items from community yard sales.

Cambridge residents will need to follow new rules for the upcoming clean-up day, as outlined by Peterson Disposal Service. Only waste originating within city limits is eligible for collection. Each occupied home may place either two bulky items or a single rubbish pile, with a maximum size of six by six feet, at the curb. Items not accepted include tires, batteries, construction and electronic waste, hazardous materials, and regular household trash. Residents are encouraged to review their waste against these restrictions in advance to ensure smooth collection and avoid leaving prohibited items at the curb.
