Candidates for office have until close of business on Monday, December 4th, 2023, to file petitions to be on the March 19th, 2024 primary ballot. Henry County Clerk Barb Link posted the reminder on Thursday to let potential candidates know that petition papers must be in soon. The Henry County Clerk also noted that office hours on December 4th will be extended by one hour from 4 PM to 5 PM on December 4th to accommodate those filing their petitions at the last minute. The number of signatures on a petition to get on the ballot for the March 19th primary varies depending on the office being sought.
