Over 1,000 children were estimated to partake in Halloween trick-or-treating on Friday, October 31st, on Prospect Street. Families walked from the trunk-or-treat at First Congregational Church on West Prospect and back to East Prospect. To ensure everyone’s safety, officials close East Prospect Street from CVS to South East Street yearly for the two-hour event. This precaution has become a tradition due to the surge in foot traffic and young trick-or-treaters.
