A former Knox County Jail Administrator is facing serious criminal charges following an investigation by Illinois State Police and the FBI. Louis A. Glossip, 46, of Galesburg, was charged after allegations of theft came to light in October 2023. Authorities found evidence leading to multiple felony charges, including two counts of theft exceeding $100,000, one count of theft between $10,000 and $100,000, three counts of official misconduct, and one count of forgery. Glossip made his first court appearance on March 11, 2026. The case stems from his time as jail administrator. Further details have not been released.
