Galva Police Arrest and Citation Report for April 20th to 26th, 2026

April 20
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Swank Street for a complaint involving two loose dogs that
were caught in a fence. A neighbor recognized the dogs and returned them to their residence prior to police arrival.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a property line dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 8 th Ave for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. Officer located a subject doing yard work that had accidentally pocket dialed.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 4 th Street for a solicitation complaint. Officer was updated that no permits had been issued recently. As the result, Isaiah Trinkle, 19, Bristol, TN, was located and issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for soliciting without a permit.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of North Center Ave for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. Officer could not locate anyone needing assistance.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a nuisance cat complaint.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to a vehicle possibly on fire several miles west of town.
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town to watch for a motorcycle that was reportedly refusing to stop for a Henry Co deputy. Officer did not locate it.

April 21
Officer was dispatched to meet with a complainant at the Galva PD.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street to remove an unwanted subject. It was determined the suspect lives at the residence and the complainant would need to follow the eviction process to remove them.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a criminal damage to property complaint and a verbal disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of West Division Street for a loose dog complaint. The owner
was able to capture it and take it back home.
While patrolling, officer saw a subject in the 400 block of SW 4 th Ave that had previously been banned from the property. Officer contacted the property owner, who advised that they gave permission for the subject to gather items there.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a verbal disturbance between roommates.

April 22
Officer was dispatched to a residence on East Division Street to provide lift assistance for the ambulance.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of Wallace Street for a harassment complaint.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 3 rd Ave for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NE 1 st Ave for a physical disturbance complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NE 2 nd Ave for an injured cat complaint.

April 23
Officer was dispatched to the Galva PD to update a sex offender’s registration. A copy was emailed to Henry Co for LEADS entry.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 6 th Ave for a complaint involving a violation of an order of protection. As the result, John Jaco, 66, Galva, was arrested for violation of an order of protection. He was transported to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to Hayes Road to check a suspicious vehicle near the old wooden viaduct west of town. Officer located some juveniles and told them to disperse.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 3 rd Street for a dog bite complaint. A delivery driver suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

April 24
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of SE 1 st Street for a wild animal complaint involving foxes running around. Officer did not locate any.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of South Center Ave for a criminal damage to property complaint involving a broken fence and gate.
Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of NW 5 th Ave to assist a citizen with a utilities complaint.

April 25
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 1 st Ave for a loose dog complaint. It was retrieved by it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the west edge of town to watch for a reckless driver that was reportedly coming towards Galva. Officer was not able to locate it.

April 26
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7 th Ave for a complaint involving a cat that had ran away for a child. Officer was not able to locate it in the area.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 1 st Street for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 2 nd Street for a complaint involving juveniles that were out-of-control.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3 rd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a child playing with a phone.

Jean Nimrick, 53, Galva, was issued a citation for disobeying a stop sign in the 200 block of SE 5 th Ave.
