February 16
While patrolling, officer went to a residence in the 600 block of NE 1 st Ave for a city ordinance violation. Officer received no answer at the door, so a written violation notice was typed and taped onto the door.
While patrolling, officer went to a residence in the 100 block of SE 3 rd Street for a city ordinance violation. Officer received no answer at the door, so a written violation notice was typed and taped onto the door.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a loud music complaint. The resident agreed to turn it down.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a resident that appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 1 st Ave for a loose dog complaint. Officer was not able to locate it.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 5 th Ave for a suicidal subject complaint.

February 17
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of SE 1 st Street, Lucas Gustafson, 40, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was transported to the Galva PD for processing and later released with a required court date.
Officer, along with the fire dept, were dispatched to an out-of-control fire that damaged a fence in the 1200 block of NW 5 th Ave.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 7 th Street to remove an unwanted subject after a verbal altercation.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 800 block of North Center Ae, Michael Engelkens, 54, Atkinson, was arrested for driving while license suspended and having expired Illinois registration. He was transported to the Galva PD for processing and later released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. Officer was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
Officer was dispatched to the old wooden viaduct bridge on Hayes Road west of town to check on a suspicious vehicle parked there. A Galva teenager was advised to move along.

February 18
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SE 2 nd Street for an activated panic alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
While patrolling, officer observed a property line verbal dispute between neighbors in the 200 block of NW 6 th Ave.
Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a sick or injured raccoon walking around.
Officer located the animal and escorted it away from area residences.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 2 nd Ave and the 700 block of NE 1 st Ave for solicitor complaints. Officer determined they did not have a valid solicitor permit. The subjects were located and advised to cease their activities.
Officer was dispatched to a juvenile disturbance that had occurred at Wiley Park.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 7 th Ave for an illegal burning complaint.

February 19
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for an anonymous trespassing complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the NE 2 nd Street train tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 8 th Ave for a possible trespassing complaint after a neighbor saw an open door on a barn. Officer searched the building and did not locate any signs of human activity. The door likely blew open due to high winds.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street to check a subject that appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 1 st Ave to complete a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer spoke to a subject by telephone in reference to a telephone threat that had been received.

February 20
While patrolling, officer located a large tree branch in the roadway in the 300 block of NW 4 th Ave. Officer was able to move it off the side of the roadway.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a citizen.
Officer was dispatched to Route 17 at the Stark / Knox Co line to assist other officers with a very unruly subject fighting with police after being involved in a severe 2 vehicle accident.

February 21
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NE 6 th Street to assist Stark Co Medic with an unresponsive subject that had reportedly overdosed on medications.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 2 nd Street for a loose dog complaint. The owner responded and took the dog back home.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Street for a stray / or abandoned cat complaint.

February 22
Officer was dispatched to the west edge of town to watch for a reckless driver heading towards Galva.
Officer did not locate the suspect vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 6 th Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. IT was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
