Illinois drivers can expect significant road improvements as the Illinois Department of Transportation rolls out its ambitious Rebuild Illinois program. Over the next six years, more than 7,100 lane miles of highways and 8.4 million square feet of bridge deck are scheduled for upgrades. This is part of a larger $33.2 billion investment targeting all transportation modes across the state.
