Illinois State Police Arrest Four People During Human Trafficking Operation in Geneseo

Illinois State Police, in coordination with multiple agencies, conducted a two-day human trafficking operation in Geneseo, Henry County, on June 11th and 12th, 2025. Four men, from Walnut, East Moline, Davenport, and Sterling, were arrested on felony charges ranging from indecent solicitation of a child to sexual exploitation of a child. Authorities targeted individuals seeking to engage in commercial sex acts with minors. The operation saw the involvement of specialized enforcement bureaus, local law enforcement, and the Henry County State’s Attorney’s Office. Illinois State Police arrested four individuals in Geneseo during a two-day operation targeting human trafficking demand. The focus was on stopping those seeking commercial sex acts. Ryan J. Molln of Walnut faces multiple counts, including indecent solicitation of a child and grooming. Juan C. Soto-Deanda of East Moline, Marqueis L. Lewis Sr. of Davenport, and Adrian Amezola of Sterling also face serious charges related to meeting and soliciting minors, with Amezola additionally charged with sexual exploitation of a child.

As a result of the operation, the following individuals were arrested and charged:

  • Ryan J. Molln (47) of Walnut, IL – two counts of Indecent Solicitation of a Child (Class 2 Felony), two counts of Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony), two counts of Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony), and Grooming (Class 4 Felony). Pretrial release was denied. A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for June 23, 2025, at 2 PM.
  • Juan C. Soto-Deanda (31) of East Moline, IL – Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony) and Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony). Pretrial release was denied. A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for June 23, 2025, at 1 PM.
  • Marqueis L. Lewis Sr. (45) of Davenport, IA – Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony) and Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony). Pretrial release was denied. A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for June 23, 2025, at 1 PM.
  • Adrian Amezola (43) of Sterling, IL – Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony), Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony), Sexual Exploitation of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor). Pretrial release is denied. A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for June 23, 2025, at 1 PM.
