The Illinois Valley Community College Foundation marks its 50th anniversary with a celebratory evening at Senica’s Oak Ridge in La Salle on March 27th. The event begins with cocktails at 5 PM and features a buffet dinner, live and silent auctions, and music from Guys on the Radio DJ Service. Since 1976, the Foundation has significantly eased financial challenges for students, awarding $377,000 in scholarships this year alone. Community support continues to help students like James Hutton achieve their career goals.
Scholarships funded by the IVCC Foundation are opening doors for students like James Hutton, who faced financial challenges after an injury threatened his entry into the EMS field. James credits the Foundation for making his education possible, emphasizing that supporting one student ripples out to benefit entire communities. The upcoming fundraising event invites supporters to reserve their spots for $75 per guest or $500 per table of eight by March 13, either by mail or online at www.ivcc.edu/goldencelebration. Donations are welcome, and further details can be obtained from Tracy Beattie at [email protected] or 815-224-0550.
