The K-Kids Cutest Pet Contest has wrapped up, raising over $300 for the Kewanee Humane Society. In the dog category, Chloe, belonging to Brynley Welsh, secured first place, while Moose, owned by Abby Peterson, followed in second. The cat division saw PJ, with Emma Schiltz, taking top honors, and Fluff, belonging to Lyla Smith, in the runner-up spot. In the miscellaneous category, a chicken named HeyHey, entered by Mila Duarte, took first, with Phoenix the turtle, from Bexley Crabtree, coming in second. The event brought community members together for a fun cause benefiting local animals.
