The Kewanee Boys basketball team, led by Braden Clark, pulled off a last minute upset of Riverdale over the weekend. The Rams entered the game 8 and 1 while the Boilermakers were 5 and 4 going in. But records go out the window when a player gets as hot as Braden Clark did. Clark scored 24 points but it was the 10 points that he scored in the fourth quarter that made the difference as Clark proved to be unstoppable in the final minutes of the game. But the game really turned on Clark’s defense as in the final moments, he blocked a three point attempt that would have given Riverdale the win. With the victory, Kewanee moved to 6 and 4 on the season. The boys are off until December 27th when they play Stark County at home in Kewanee.
