    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in 30 minutes or less. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Kewanee Community Black History Extravaganza Set for February 18th

Kewanee is set to celebrate Black History Month with a grand extravaganza titled ‘Keeping Hope and Faith Alive’, on Sunday, February 18, 2024. The event, hosted by the Community Black History Committee, will take place at the First Congregational Church on 224 West Prospect Street. Highlights include performances by the Wethersfield High School Choir, contributions from local churches, and educational displays on local history and African American contributions. An essay contest for students will also be part of this event where the winners will be announced.
