Kewanee Freshman traveled to Fulton this week and came away with a win, 55 to 34. Coach Aaron Pratt wraps up his team’s performance against Fulton..

“The Freshman Boilermaker boys travelled to Fulton tonight to face the Steamers and come away with a 55-34 victory. Ten Boilers scored lead by Leeam Slover who connected on four of the eight made three point shots.

Tonight was a great team win. I thought we shared the ball well on offense and weren’t afraid to take the open looks, but the real key to tonight was our defense. Really starting to find our groove on that end of the floor.

While we shot the ball well tonight, we have struggled offensively to start the season and little practice time makes it difficult to work the bugs out. I’ve got a solid group of kids though who have found ways to get it done in different ways. It’s great to see the improvements from them on a game to game basis.

Boilermakers are now 4-2 on the season and will be back in action Tuesday December 12th at home against the Geneseo Mapleleafs.”
