The Kewanee Freshman Basketball team earned an overtime victory against the Dixon Dukes on Tuesday. After the game, Coach Aaron Pratt shared his thoughts on his team’s play…

“A lackluster first three quarters the Boilers found themselves down 8-16 at the half and 15-22 going into the fourth, the Boiler defense found it stride holding the Dukes to just 2 fourth quarter points. The ramped up defense coupled by an offensive burst from Dayvon Robinson scoring 8 of his game high 14, saw the Boilers and Dukes knotted at 24 at the end of regulation. Dukes scored first, but Robinson quickly answered followed by clutch free throw shooting from Isaiah Ince and Leeam Slover lead the Boilers to the OT victory 29-26. The win takes the Boilermakers to 2-1 on the season.”
