Future health care professionals are gaining firsthand experience at Kewanee High School through an innovative health career pathway at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center. Students recently toured the local hospital, including Radiology, Cardiopulmonary, Laboratory, Inpatient, Rehabilitation, and OSF Medical Group.
This immersive visit is part of a 60-hour job shadowing requirement, giving students direct insight into real-world patient care and medical teamwork. These hands-on learning opportunities allow students to align their education with future career goals, inspiring curiosity and compassion.
