Kewanee’s Veterans Park is set to come alive with music as the Chamber of Commerce kicks off its 2025 Concert in the Park Series on June 19, 2025, at 6:30 PM. This summer tradition offers ten weeks of live performances every Thursday evening through August 21. The series opens with the Jim Markum Swing Band, known for its lively brass and classic swing tunes. Attendees can enjoy not only the music but also a variety of food options available on site beginning at 5 PM. It’s an opportunity for the community to gather, relax, and enjoy the sounds of summer in a scenic outdoor setting right in the heart of Kewanee.
“It’s hard to imagine that this will be our 29th year at the park” said Mark Mikenas from the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce. “We hope people will come out and enjoy the free concerts, the park has plenty of shade and always seems to have a breeze. If you have not experienced the free concerts please make an effort and bring a friend. We have a wide variety of music.”
