Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation’s Land of Smiles program is making stops at Colona Grade School, Belle Alexander School, and Cambridge Elementary School this February. This free program delivers an interactive show featuring vibrant characters like Captain Super Grin and Terri Tooth Fairy, who guide students through lessons on brushing, nutrition, and dental checkups. Every child receives an oral health kit, complete with a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and helpful tips. Land of Smiles, which operates twice yearly, has reached over 677,000 Illinois students since its launch and will impact more than 29,000 students this spring.

Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation, established in 2008, continues its commitment to improving oral health across Illinois. As the charitable arm of Delta Dental of Illinois, the foundation has provided over $32 million in funding to programs supporting 1.2 million residents statewide. One flagship initiative, the Land of Smiles program, educates children about dental hygiene through interactive experiences. The foundation’s efforts focus on increasing access to care and raising awareness about oral health, ultimately strengthening community well-being.
