Large Animal Rescue Training for Illinois First Responders Offered March 28, 2026

First responders across Illinois have a unique opportunity to enhance their skills with an eight-hour large animal rescue training, happening Saturday, March 28th, at Black Hawk East in rural Galva. Beginning at 9 AM, the course is tailored for personnel from fire, police, EMS, sheriff’s, DNR, and forest preserve agencies. The session covers everything from haltering horses and cows to mastering rescue drags, trailer safety, and vertical lifts. Participants will receive certification at the end of the course.
