On 3/30/2024 at 3:01 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of N 44th RD & E 1stRD. (Mendota TWP) James Carroll (27) of Mendota was driving west on N 44th RD when he lost control of his vehicle, entered the north ditch, drove over a field entrance and came to a stop in a creek. James was cited for failure to reduce speed, illegal transportation of alcohol and leaving the scene/accident. He was released with a NTA.
On 3/31/2024 at 3:12 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 71 & N 3501st RD. (Miller TWP) Jose Fuentes-Zaragoza (33) of Aurora, IL was cited for improper lighting-one headlamp, improper lane usage, no valid drivers license and arrested for DUI alcohol BAC over .08. He was transported to LASCO jail and later released with a NTA.
