Macomb Man Arrested For Dealing Meth

MACOMB, IL – A Macomb man was arrested Tuesday evening after a search warrant was executed by the Macomb Police Department.

Macomb Police Chief Jeff Hamer issued a press release Wednesday morning announcing the arrest of Eason Bishop, 38, of Macomb, after the MPD and the West Central Illinois Task Force (WCITF) executed a search warrant at Bishop’s home at 440 N Campbell Street in Macomb.

Bishop was arrested and charged with Methamphetamine Delivery over 400 grams, a Class X felony. He was detained at the McDonough County Jail and is currently awaiting a detention hearing.

According to the release, the MPD and WCITF had been performing a joint investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine in the Macomb/McDonough County area. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are anticipated.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
