MACOMB, IL – The McDonough County Sheriff’s Department announced the recipient of their 2024-25 Illinois Sheriffs’ Association Scholarship (ISA).
McDonough County Sheriff Nick Petitgout announced this morning that Sonya Hamilton had been selected as the winner of the $500 scholarship.
The scholarship is part of a larger ISA scholarship fund, which will be awarding over $58,000 in college scholarships this year to full-time students in the state of Illinois who are seen to be demonstrating outstanding scholastic and character qualifications.
Hamilton was said to be selected for her perseverance and efforts.
