Illinois State Police have arrested Dennis Carey, 56, of Milan, on charges including four counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and four counts of Production of Child Pornography. On February 18, 2026, Special Agents executed warrants at Carey’s home on 53rd Avenue West and his workplace, gathering electronic evidence during the search. Carey is being held at the Rock Island County Jail. Authorities from the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office, Moline Police, and the FBI assisted in the investigation. A petition to deny pretrial release was filed by the state, and the petition hearing was continued to today, February 20th, at 1 PM.
