Authorities in LaSalle County have confirmed that the body of Concepcion Herrera, a 50-year-old Streator resident missing since January 11th, has been discovered on rural property near Utica. Herrera disappeared after fleeing a vehicle accident scene before officers arrived. Despite extensive searches by law enforcement and emergency agencies, his whereabouts remained unknown for nearly a month. On February 9th, deputies responded to a report of a deceased person in rural Utica. A forensic autopsy is scheduled for February 10th at the McLean County Morgue. The investigation is ongoing, with updates to follow upon completion of the autopsy and further findings.
